So in between high school performance art/punk bands and post-college performance art punk bands (AKA while I was in college), I actually used to do a lot of video. I’ve had work shown at the New York Underground Film Festival, Portland Short Film Festival, the UC Riverside Romancing Heteroglossia Colloquium, The LAB and ATA in SF, featured on Miranda July’s Joanie 4 Jackie Chainletter, written about in a book published by Duke University Press and released on 2 different Kill Rock Stars DVDs.
I’m working on excerpting some longer works to put up here, but until then here are a couple of short music videos. More coming soon…

Super8/video for the Amps For Christ “Tower Song”. Featuring Henry Barnes and Tara Tavi, originally released on the Kill Rock Stars Video Fanzine #3.

...and the rope

Here is a short video I made for the original 4track version of what later became “rope”. (Featuring a young Britt Brown on backing vox, probably the 2nd time he ever plugged into a tascam.)

megamouth
This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.
Ah! Now here is a funny one that I made for the Mae Shi song “Megamouth” that appeared on their ambitious Lock the Skull, Load the Gun DVD. Featuring the old upside-down chin-face trick that provided just as much amusement in making this video as it did when I was 8 and used it to perform skits for various babysitters. In fact, I think this one was even more fun. Featuring Ezra and some post-college hippie roommates that probably don’t remember making this.
